InfoSphere Identity Insight Essentials V8
Overview
This course replaces course IBM InfoSphere Identity Insight Essentials V8(EA213).This is the Classroom version of Instructor-led online course IBM InfoSphere Identity Insight Essentials V8 (ILO) (3I214).
Using both instructor-led presentation and hands-on laboratories, users learn how to operate and maintain an IBM InfoSphere Identity Insight implementation. Prepare and load data, interpret results, and modify settings to optimize the determination of Identities, Relationships, and Events.
Audience
This is a beginner course for system administrators, system operators, and technical individuals who plan, implement, configure, operate, and support the technical operations of Entity Analytics.
Prerequisites
You should have:
Basic knowledge of working in a Windows environment
Acquaintance with concepts of XML
Objective
Explain the components of IBM InfoSphere? Identity Insight (IISII)
Identify, examine, and report on Identities, Relationships, and Events using the IISII Visualizer and a pre-populated data repository
Map raw data into the Universal Messaging Format (UMF)
Configure data sources for UMF data
Configure Data Quality Management (DQM) Rules to modify incoming data
Modify and customize Candidate Builder rules using the IISII Console
Modify and customize Resolution Rules using the IISII Console
Load data via the IISII Pipeline using the Command Line interface
Load data via the IISII Pipeline using the Visualizer
View data log files using the IISII Console and IISII Visualizer
Identify situations in which entities un-resolve using the IISII Visualizer
Modify the system configuration and reload data to examine changes in discovered relationships and events using the IISII Visualizer and the IISII Console
Evaluate, and modify's necessary, Alerts generated by IISII
Use generated reports to evaluate IISII performance

InfoSphere Identity Insight Advanced Configuration V8
Overview
This course replaces Advanced Entity Analytics Configuration V4.2 (EA312).
The IBM InfoSphere Identity Insight Advance Configuration V8 course is designed to equip you with an advance understanding and consideration of the software through implementation and analysis usage, and data management techniques. By way of in-depth discussions and various complex exercises, learn how to perform data analysis based on rule modifications and system configurations. This advance course is for those who want a deep dive into the technical understanding of the Identity Insight solution.
Audience
This is an advanced course for system administrators, system operators, and technical individuals who plan, implement, configure, operate, and support the technical operations of IBM InfoSphere Identity Insight.
Prerequisites
You should have
Attended the IBM InfoSphere Identity Insight Essentials V8 (EA213) course, and have at least 6 months actual field experience with the product.
Acquaintance with concepts of XML
Able to use database tools and SQL
Objective
Explain the logic of data preparation
Explain data quality issues
Collect tips about UMF building
Gain familiarity with DQM functions
Troubleshoot UMF problems in the lab
Determine the optimal methods for moving data through the Identity Insight pipeline(s).
Use pipeline log files to identify and correct ingestion errors
Consider changes to the out-of-the-box (OOTB) configuration
Identify tables/indexes of interest for Identity Insight configuration
Demonstrate the process of results-based Match Merge rules modification configuration
Create rules that would show results of scoring and how this would increase/decrease number of alerts
Identify tables and queries for determining reason for matches/ alerts
Perform iterative system configuration and result analysis of lab data based on rule modification
