    Overview

    The Configuring a WMS Solution course introduces learners to the basic configurations required to implement a IBM® Sterling Warehouse Management Solution. Learners will define supply chain elements, such as organization hierarchy, warehouse layouts, security models, and inbound and outbound processes, to create a Sterling WMS solution.

    Audience

    This basic course is designed for the application Implementation Team, Functional Consultant/Designer, and Warehouse Analyst/Super User.

    Prerequisites

    You should have:

     Knowledge of Warehouse Management
     Ability to navigate within Windows NT and UNIX operating systems and familiarity with relational database concepts

    Objective

     Define the organization hierarchy, process model, and security model of a warehouse.
     Configure the node infrastructure.
     Configure product attributes.
     Configure the process, tasks, and transactions for:
    An inbound order
    An Outbound order
    A Return order
    Value Added Services
     Integrate Sterling Multi-Channel Fulfillment with third party hosts, MHEs, and TMSs.
     Configure the Sterling Multi-Channel Fulfillment print infrastructure.

    Overview

    The IBM® Sterling Connect:Direct® for UNIX Fundamentals course is a three day course that introduces you to Sterling Connect:Direct for UNIX, the Sterling Connect:Direct Process Language, and the Sterling Connect:Direct File Agent. You will install and navigate within Sterling Connect:Direct for UNIX, submit processes to transfer data, and apply troubleshooting and performance tuning techniques.

    Audience

     This basic course is for UNIX User.

    Prerequisites

    You should have:

     Working knowledge of vi Editor

    Objective

     Describe Sterling Connect:Direct for UNIX and the process for installing it.
     Start and stop Sterling Connect:Direct for UNIX.
     Use Job Control and History commands with the Command Line Interface.
     Describe, identify, and customize Initialization Parameters files, Network Map files, and Authorization Information files.
     Locate and identify Client Configuration files and Authentication Key files.
     Describe and use the submit, select, change, delete, flush, stop, and statistic commands.
     Install and use Requestor for Windows.
     Describe the Process Language.
     Write a COPY, Conditional, RUN JOB, RUN TASK, SUBMIT, and SYMBOL statements.
     Explain why and when to use the ndmxlt, apnotify, and ndmmsg utilities.
     Restart a process.
     Use the trace command to gather troubleshooting information.
     Describe the Session Manager Protocol and the Life Cycle Process.
     Apply performance tuning methods to Sterling Connect:Direct for UNIX.
     Describe, install, and use the Sterling Connect:Direct File Agent

You will install and configure Sterling Connect:Direct, apply the Sterling Connect:Direct Process Language, issue commands, integrate applications, and troubleshoot problems.

    Objective

     Describe the Sterling Connect:Director for Windows architecture.
     Transfer and receive files.
     Define and use Sterling Connect:Direct for Windows Process Language to define units of work.
     Access the Process Monitor.
     Review and analyze a statistics report.
     Navigate in the Requestor, Browser, and Command Line Interface.
     Navigate in the Client Utilities: Client Connection Utility and Administrative Tool.
     Allow applications to interface with Sterling Connect:Direct for Windows.
     Configure a File Agent.
     Explain the purpose of the Process, Session, and Command Managers.
     Configure for data flows.
     Apply FMH control blocks.

    Overview

    This 2-day instructor-led course introduces you to the Sterling File Gateway functionality and provides the specific technical skills needed to deploy and support it. The course provides an overview of the features and provides hands-on exercises for creating routing templates, transforming file names, searching for files within a route, and reporting on file transfers.

    Audience

    This basic course is for administrative users who administer the Sterling File Gateway application.

    Overview

    The IBM® Sterling Connect:Direct® Secure+ Configuration for Microsoft Windows course introduces you to the Secure+ Admin Tool , the Sterling Certificate Wizard, and the Secure+ Parameters File used to store node information. You will generate self-signed certificates, create the trusted root file, exchange certificates with a remote Sterling Connect:Direct node, and configure the Secure+ parmfile to securely trade data using SSL.

     Submit sample process to copy a file securely.

    The eCommerce Essentials WebCast course is a half-day course that introduces you to electronic commerce, e-business, and Electronic Data Interchange (EDI). You will learn about translators, communication software, value-added networks, and interconnects.

    Audience

    This basic course is for End User new to electronic commerce.

    Prerequisites

    There are no prerequisites for this course.

    Objective

     Summarize the electronic commerce, e-business, and Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) concepts
     Describe the components in an EDI system
     Describe each of the standards supported in the application and why we use them
